Nationwide CPR® offers the American Heart Association ACLS Instructor Course for individuals seeking to become ACLS Instructors.
Requirements for ACLS Instructor Candidates
For successful completion, Instructor candidates must:
- Be accepted by an AHA Training Center before enrolling in a ACLS Instructor Essentials Course and have a completed Instructor Candidate Application on file with that Training Center.
- Have a current ACLS Provider course completion card and be proficient in all ACLS Provider skills.
- Successfully complete the ACLS Instructor Essentials Course (both the online and classroom portion). Candidates must print the completion certificate.
- Successfully be monitored teaching their first course within six months of completing the discipline-specific classroom Instructor Course (Training Center Coordinators can require additional monitoring, if needed).
